Ichikawa works both in music (‘sound
sculpture')and visual arts. His floating,
helium-filled plastic bags both change their
environment and, being transparent, are
changed byit.They suggest transitoriness
and have been describedas‘the ghost of
sculpture'.They attempt to deny spatial
dimensons in the way that music can.
